For my major project website, I am going to create an entertainment fan site for Taylor Swift. I love a lot of musicians, but I chose to do Taylor Swift for this because she is my favorite artist of all time, and I know a lot of information about her and her music. I feel like I could create an interesting page for each subtopic because of my knowledge about her and that I could bring a lot of fun information to it. She has exactly 10 albums, so I was planning on using each page to be specific to an album. I think this would also be easy for me to layout because there is already a sort of structure provided for me.
For the information architecture and general layout, I want it to be the same structure for every page except the home page. The home page will have an introduction to her, some images, and the navigation to the rest of the site. The remaining ten pages will go in order of her albums from earliest to latest, with the track list, details about some songs of my choosing, images from that era, and some other fun facts.
There is a lot of “lore” behind each of her albums and just her as an artist in general, so there’s a lot of different elements that I can include on each page. I am thinking about including some links to other videos like performances, theories, quizzes, etc. I want it to be interactive, which will be challenging for me but I want it to look visually pleasing and be something that people enjoy.
